About the course1 year full-time If you're thinking of going into microbrewing our MSc can give you a competitive edge. As well as learning your craft, you'll learn the science behind it from some of the UK's leading microbiologists. The course includes a three-month work placement. Entry requirementsYou'll need a 2:1 in any engineering subject or a science subject, such as biology or chemistry. Teaching
The Making Ideas Happen module is run by the University's enterprise team. It's customised, so you'll develop business skills on a project that relates to the brewing industry. Experts from industry come in to give lectures. We also have a pilot microbrewing facility where students develop projects in association with local brewers. The School of Artisan Food and other regional organisations introduce our students to important aspects of the hospitality industry. Assessment
