New Literacies - MA (Online)
You'll learn about ways of researching literacy and education. You'll reflect on your own professional practices and think about how the new literacy landscape is changing our lives. Focus on cutting edge issues in literacy research and challenge your assumptions.
Taught purely online, this stimulating course gives you a flexible way to achieve a masters qualification. You'll work in an international context, but be able to apply your skills and knowledge to your own situation.
Entry requirements
You'll usually need a first degree in a literacy-related field, along with relevant teaching experience.
English language requirements for overseas students
IELTS 6.5 (with at least 5.5 in each part), or TOEFL 575 with TWE 4 or above (paper-based), or TOEFL 234, TWE 4 or above (computer-based), or equivalent.

Teaching
Entirely online. You must have regular access to a computer with an internet connection, preferably broadband.
Assessment
- Four 6,000-word assignments
- 15,000–20,000 word dissertation
