About the course

This course prepares you for further research and a career in the field.

You'll develop a comprehensive understanding of global influences on national social policy and in-depth knowledge of the challenges – in poverty, health, social protection, corporations, crime, education and migration.

We'll train you in research methods and help you to arrange fieldwork related to your research project.

Course content

You'll get research training in both generic social science and subject-specific areas. You must take one 30-credit and five 15-credit core modules, one 15-creditoptional module and complete a 60-credit dissertation.
