Entry Requirements

The high level of demand for our degrees at Sheffield is reflected in the entry requirements. Every application is considered on its merits, and decisions are based on academic ability, the information on the UCAS form and references.

A range of other qualifications are also considered, such as Scottish Highers, BTEC and International Baccalaureate. We also welcome applications from mature students. Please note that degrees "with Japanese" are taught only on an ab initio basis and applicants with prior knowledge of, or a qualification in Japanese cannot be considered.

Applying

Applications for full-time degree courses must be made though UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service).

If you are still at school or college in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you can obtain an application form and the UCAS Handbook from your teacher or principal.

If you have left school, or are living abroad, you can obtain a Handbook and application form by writing to:
