The University is pleased to offer a range of scholarships to students from Hong Kong who show exceptional academic potential and are starting their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2013.

Hong Kong Merit Undergraduate Scholarship 2013 (£7,000) *NEW FOR 2013*
There is one Hong Kong Merit Undergraduate Scholarship, available for Hong Kong students starting their undergraduate degree studies in September 2013.
The scholarships is worth £7,000 for each year of study for all undergraduate programmes except Medicine and Dentistry. Students of Medicine or Dentistry will only receive the scholarship in the first two years of study.
To be eligible for the Hong Kong Merit Undergraduate Scholarship 2013 (£7,000), applicants must be a Hong Kong national or permanently domiciled in Hong Kong, apply for a study place by Friday 19 April 2013 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2013.
The Hong Kong Merit Undergraduate Scholarship 2013 (£7,000) is awarded on the basis of academic merit.
If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2013 onwards.
Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
The deadline for applications is Friday 26 April 2013; scholarship results will be announced Friday 31 May 2013.
Postgraduate Scholarships eg MA, MSc
The Sir S Y Chung 2013 Scholarship (£7,000)
We are pleased to offer the Sir S Y Chung Scholarship for one postgraduate student from Hong Kong, commencing their studies in September 2013.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be a Hong Kong national or permanently domiciled in Hong Kong, and hold an offer of a postgraduate study place by 21 June 2013 for entry in September 2013.
The Sir S Y Chung Scholarship 2013 (£7,000) is awarded on the basis of academic merit.
If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2013 onwards.
Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
The deadline for applications is 28 June 2013; scholarship results will be announced on 26 July 2013.
Eligibility and Award Criteria:
• You must hold an offer of a study place by 21st June 2013 and begin your postgraduate studies in September 2013.
• You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
• The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
