The University offers a range of scholarships for South Korean students who show exceptional academic potential starting a postgraduate taught masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September 2013.

South Korea Sheffield Scholarships 2013

We are pleased to offer the South Korea Sheffield Scholarship 2013 to all South Korean students commencing a Taught Masters programme in September 2013.

The scholarships are:

Eligibility and Award Criteria:

South Korea Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2013 (£7,000)

There is one South Korea Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2013, available for a South Korean student starting their postgraduate taught masters degree studies in September 2013.

The scholarship is worth £7,000 of your postgraduate taught masters degree tuition fee for one year of study. The scholarship will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

To be eligible for the South Korea Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2013 (£7,000), applicants must be a South Korean national or permanently domiciled in South Korea, apply for a study place by Friday 21 June 2013 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2013. The deadline for applications is Friday 28 June 2013 and results will be announced by Friday July 26 2013.

The South Korea Merit Postgraduate Scholarship 2013 (£7,000) is awarded on the basis of academic merit.

If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2013 onwards.

Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.

Postgraduate research degrees eg PhD, MPhil

The University of Sheffield does not offer research studentships specifically for South Korean students. There are, however, studentships and funding for which students from South Korea can apply.
