University Chaplaincy
The University is a rich and incredibly diverse community where people offer many different perspectives on questions of faith and spirituality.
The multi-faith Chaplaincy Service provides information and advice for all students and is available to everyone within the University. A team of chaplains and advisers represent the various faith communities represented at our University and they offer care, support as well as opportunities and advice on worship, prayer and spiritual exploration.
On campus praying facilities
There are 4 praying facilities across our campus. Male and female prayer rooms are provided in the Students' Union, the University's Engineering buildings, the Information Commons (24 hours access) and our Medical School. Wudu facilities are available inside the rooms.
Mosques
There are several mosques across the city. The Muslim Welfare House of Sheffield is the mosque closest to the main University campus and it caters for a diverse congregation, with Muslims from Europe, Africa, Arabia and many parts of Asia.
