Management International Scholarships 2013 *New for 2013*
We are pleased to offer Management Scholarships to Sri Lankan undergraduate students starting their studies in the Management School in September 2013.
The scholarships are worth £1,500 per year each.
Eligibility and Award Criteria:
•You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2013 in the Management School.
•You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
•The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required in first or subsequent years.
•The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
•The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
Social Science International Scholarships 2013 *New for 2013*
We are pleased to offer Social Science Scholarships to Sri Lankan undergraduate students starting their studies in September 2013 in any of the following departments: East Asian Studies, Economics, Education, Geography, Information School, Journalism, Politics, Sociological Studies, Town and Regional Planning.
The scholarships are worth £1,500 per year each.
Eligibility and Award Criteria:
•You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2013 in any of the departments listed above.
•You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
•The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required in first or subsequent years.
•The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
•The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
Sri Lanka Merit Undergraduate Scholarship 2013 (£7,000)
There are two Sri Lanka Merit Undergraduate Scholarships, available for Sri Lankan students starting their undergraduate degree studies in September 2013.
Each scholarship is worth £7,000 of your undergraduate course tuition fee per year. The scholarship will take the form of a fee reduction.
To be eligible for the Sri Lanka Merit Undergraduate Scholarship 2013 (£7,000) applicants must be a Sri Lankan national or permanently domiciled in Sri Lanika, apply for a study place by Friday 19 April 2013 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2013.
The Sri Lanka Merit Undergraduate Scholarship 2013 is awarded on the basis of academic merit.
If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2013 onwards.
Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
The deadline for applications is Friday 26 April 2013; scholarship results will be announced Friday 31 May 2013.
Postgraduate Scholarships eg MA, MSc
The University offers a range of scholarships for Sri Lankan students who show exceptional academic potential starting a postgraduate Taught Masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September 2013.
Sri Lanka Sheffield Scholarships 2013
We are pleased to offer the Sri Lanka Sheffield Scholarship 2013 to all Sri Lankan students starting a Taught Masters programme in September 2013.
The scholarships are:
- £1,000 each for students studying Nanotechnology courses (jointly run with the University of Leeds)
- £1,500 each for students paying fees between £12,760 - £14,680
- £2,000 each for students paying fees of £14,681 and upwards
Eligibility and Award Criteria:
- You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your postgraduate Taught Masters programme in September 2013.
- You must be a Sri Lankan national or permanantly domiciled in Sri Lanka.
- You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for fee purposes.
- The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required.
- The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.
- The scholarships are for full-time and part-time students only. Students studying via Distance Learning are not eligible for the scholarships.

There are three awards available for individuals with a strong academic background beginning their postgraduate study at the University of Sheffield in September 2013.

The University of Sheffield does not offer research studentships specifically for Sri Lankan students. There are, however, studentships and funding for which students from Sri Lanka can apply.
