Entry requirements for students from Brunei

We have been welcoming students from Brunei for many years and our staff are very familiar with the Brunei education system and qualifications.

High entrance requirements for our degree programmes at Sheffield reflect the quality of the University.

All applicants are required to have an internationally recognised English language qualification such as IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum score that is accepted for entry, in line with UKBA regulations, is IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80. Please note that some departments may require a higher score.

For Entry to Undergraduate Programmes e.g. BSc, BA, BEng/ MEng

A variety of qualifications can be considered for direct admission to undergraduate bachelor degree programmes. All applications for undergraduate programmes should be made through UCAS

A Level

Applicants with a minimum of 3 A levels will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes.

International Baccalaureate

International Baccalaureate diploma holders will be considered for
direct admission to undergraduate programmes

For Entry to Postgraduate Taught Programmes e.g. MA, MSc

Holders of a good bachelor degree from Universiti Brunei Darussalam will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate diploma or masters programmes.

For Entry to MBA

Holders of a good bachelor degree from Universiti Brunei Darussalam and at least 3 years´ post-graduation work experience will be considered for direct admission to the MBA.

Sheffield International College provides pre-Masters programmes specifically designed for students seeking entry into the University of Sheffield.

For Entry to Postgraduate Research Programmes e.g. MPhil, PhD, PhD with Integrated Masters

Holders of a good bachelor degree and a good masters degree from Universiti Brunei Darussalam will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate research programmes.
