Waaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzuuuuuuuuuuuppppppp people… yess the waiting is ovarrrrrrr… Here is the 2nd episode of "What´s shaken with Bijan…"
Recap: last time I talked about exams getting closer and more real, and projects piling up but now it´s all history cause I´m done baby!!
Yep one of the greatest things about being a landscape student is that you have long holidays and…and…mmm….wait a minute I´m sure I can think of other things too…like mm…pfff… oh yeah designing green spaces, designing Greenhouses, filling the gap between humans and their nature since its been damaged by other occupations (Engineers and etc), working outside and many more.
Move along to the next topic on or agenda. What bijan has been up to?
If you are into films and activism I have just the thing. A week ago I went to see the movie MILK by Gus Van Sant the director of such movies as `My own private Idaho´ and `Drugstore cowboy´. The movie stars Sean Penn and Josh Brolin. The movie shows how one person gave hope and courage to accept who you are. One thing that was beautiful was that Harvey milk started his speeches by saying "I´m Harvey milk and I´m here to recruit you" this reminded me of the sentence "I have a dream" by Martin Luther King, Jr. or the `Change´ speech by Barak Obama. One beautiful movie. I really do encourage you guys to watch it. One beautiful piece of art played by Sean Penn.
Oh ohhh and also if you are a huge fan of Stanley Kubrick like I am, I definitely suggest to the documentary about his life and death. It´s called Stanley Kubrick: A life in Pictures. There are interviews with amazing directors and actors such as Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen. Must see it, it blows your mind about how this visionary director was so ahead of his time.
By the way I just remembered… 2day ego I went t to the Tuesday club and they had this very awesome Fusion/Jazz band they played about 7 songs. They were really good, maybe that´s another thing you guys can try instead of listening to the old Love song and pop baby face looks. Go and listen to Dave Matthews Band. The Trumpet player and the sax player were both jumping up and down all the time.
I hope to see the same sort of bands on the carnival day…ohh…ops… I didn´t tell you about the after the exams carnival….ohhh yesssssss there is a carnival. I can´t wait for it; it´s like a moving circus that stops in Sheffield just to spread the awesomeness to all the students once a year. And what I mean by a stop is like 14 hours nonstop fun.
One more thing before I wrap up this episode and credits rolling, I just wanted to say that Bijan will be travelling to Wales this weekend I definitely will post some pics of the wilderness. And by the end of Jun I would definitely go and visit The Eden Project in Cornwall. It is one of the most amazing greenhouses. I mean the name itself defines it but I think they don´t have Adam and Eve, or do they??
So till the next episode….keep on rock in….

Hey people…what´s shakinn…….I´m gonna talk about my past few weeks in Sheffield and also my trip to mother land… Iran...oh and by the way this is one of the many diaries I´m gonna write so you´d better enjoy it…!!
Ok so ill start with my trip to Iran:
Well it was my first visit to Iran after about 3 years. Any way after sharing tears with my second home Sheffield and making a scene at the airport the authorities dragged me into the airplane. When the airplane was taking off I remembered the last part of the movie E.T… when E.T looks to the sky and lift his famous torch finger and says: E.T. go home… yeah it was an epic moment for me and for E.T. but more for me cause who cares about a fictional character in a movie… I mean come onnnnnnn
Back to the story…
After very long flight I landed in Tehran Khomeni´s International Airport. First thing about Iran that hit me was the smell of dry soil that you never ever feel in England in the air, that moment was so nostalgic that I literary cried a bit but I guess will all have one of those Oscar wining moments in our lives, I know where is the camera and the film crew when you need one!!!
Since I was only in Iran for a month my schedule wasn´t in my own hands. So I was taken to parties to visit friends and families one after one for 30 days.…it was ok but after answering same questions over and over and over and over again your jaw becomes a bit numb…very good feeling! try it… any how so when I was in Tehran when I was hiding from visiting families program, I went to different museums and galleries…ohh…ohh and I saw the movie "when we are all sleeping",,, good movie… my kind of movie… then I started a journey around Iran for about 8 days. I travelled to Yazd, Niasar, Zavare, Kashan, Esfahan, Shiraz and many more that I can´t recall( my bad)…
One of the best moments was saying hi to the big daddy, the writer of the Human Rights…wait for it… Yes´s the one...the only...Cyrus the Great... it was such a good felling nooo noo …correction and awesome feeling.
Any how I think I´d better cut the story short…we all have things to do…!! Ok I got back to Sheffield 2 days after my classes started. It was very nice to be back to the classes with your classmates working all day on your projects in studio or at home watching students getting the most out of the sparkle of the sun outside on the grass.
After a good vacation and lecture it´s now time rfor the exams and handing projects and after that we have summer ahead of us…yeeeaahh Sheffield in summer!!...nice…
Any way guys tune in next time for more diary and stories and I'll try to keep up the good work as much I can… oh and by the way yesss, yesss I accept fan mails and gifts…an no I´m not allergic to any flowers so don´t forget that …
Take care and see you all in the next episode of "What´s shaken with Bijan…"
