About guest speaking

Business practitioners sometimes lead a session to management students. A session could be part of a module on a programme, on our Futures Fist Employability module, or as part of an expert series. Students could be on one of our undergraduate programmes, our specialist masters courses, or on the MBA programme. Sessions usually last around 30-40 minutes plus 15-20 minutes for questions and answers.

Examples of guest talks for management students

  • Digitisation on the postgraduate intelligent organisation module
  • Personal branding expertise on the undergraduate Futures First professional self management module
  • Diversity in leadership masterclass on the MBA masterclass series
  • Raising investment for startups for the accounting and finance for managers module
  • Occupational psychology in the public sector on the postgraduate work and occupational psychology programmes

How can you help?

Students are interested to hear from a range of industry professionals in both specialist and general management roles. They are keen to hear insights into your current role and the organisation you work for and your career journey so far. We also welcome employers and recruiters to help deliver skills sessions giving practical advice to students about the application and interview processes.
