Application Process for AHRC Masters and Arts & Humanities Faculty Masters Fee Scholarships
To apply for the AHRC Research Professional Masters, AHRC Professional Preparation Masters and Arts & Humanities Faculty Masters Scholarships, please follow the procedure below.
To apply for any other scholarship scheme, please follow the instructions for that scheme available on the scholarships web pages.
Application process
- Before applying for a scholarship, you must first apply for admission. We advise you to start by contacting the academic department to discuss your study plans.
- You should then apply for admission to the University using the Postgraduate Online Application Form.
- You will receive an Application Number from Admissions within a few days of submitting this form. You need this number to apply for a scholarship – applications without a valid Admissions Application Number will not be considered. We recommend applying to Admissions at least a week before the scholarships deadline to ensure you receive your number in time.
- Once you have received your Application Number, please complete the Application Form for AHRC/ Arts & Humanities Faculty Masters Scholarships selecting the scholarship schemes for which you wish to be considered. Please complete the form once only. You will receive a copy of your application by email. If you need to make any changes to your scholarship application once you have submitted it, please email pgr-scholarships@sheffield.ac.uk
The deadline for these scholarship applications is 30 March 2012 at 5pm.
Review process
- Your application will be considered together with your Application for Admission (including references and any other supporting information you submit).
- Applications will be reviewed by up to three departmental, Faculty and University panels. The selection panels’ decisions are final.
- All applicants will be contacted with the outcome of their application. You can expect to hear if your application has been successful by the end of April 2012.
