ReBIP - Review Body for Interventional Procedures

Please note the ReBIP Project finished on the 31st March 2011

ReBIP (the Review Body for Interventional Procedures) is a joint venture between Health Services Research at Sheffield University and the Health Services Research Unit at Aberdeen University (please follow the link in the 'See also' box). ReBIP works under the auspices of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence's (NICE) Interventional Procedures Programme (IPP), (please follow the link in the 'See also' box).

The IPP advisory committee (IPAC) looks at procedures in order to determine their safety and efficacy. Where IPAC considers there is doubt about safety and efficacy it refers them on to ReBIP either for a systematic review of the literature or for additional data gathering. Completed systematic review reports can be found via the link in the 'ReBIP Reports' box.

A list of procedures currently with ReBIP can be found by clicking on 'Procedures' in the 'Quick Links' box. Located under 'Databases: Documentation' is additional documentation and information relating to procedure registries that ReBIP is currently involved with. For further information about the partner organisations that comprise ReBIP, please follow the 'Partners' link.
