ADOPT
The ADOPT scheme is a two-year programme for Year 12 students who are interested in a career in dentistry, as a dentist, hygienist or therapist. The aim is to encourage students from backgrounds which are under-represented in higher education.

The University of Sheffield's Outreach and Access to Medicine Scheme (SOAMS) makes a career in medicine a possibility for able students from all backgrounds.

Discover STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths).
Discover STEM provides an opportunity for Post16 students, studying a combination of maths and science A levels, to find out more about the different degrees and subject areas provided by the Faculties of Science, Engineering and The School of Mathematics here at the University of Sheffield.
The aim is to encourage students from backgrounds which are under-represented in higher education to consider professional career pathways into Science and Engineering.

HE Preparation Programme
The HE Preparation Programme helps students to develop a range of academic skills that will prepare them for HE level study, aiming to improve their level of attainment and to improve progression into and throughout degree level study.

Science and Engineering Champions
The Science and Engineering Champions are a group of 80 University of Sheffield students who are dedicated to promoting the STEM subjects to young people. They work with the University's Outreach and Access section on a range of activities as well as with their own departments.

US in Schools - Mentoring
The US in Schools - Mentoring programme sends current University students into local secondary schools to provide one to one mentoring and in-class support to pupils from backgrounds that are under-represented in Higher Education.
