The Study Abroad programme for Sheffield students

The Study Abroad Programme gives students the chance to study at a university in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore or the USA as part of your undergraduate degree studies, without extending the length of your course.
Study Abroad is an exchange programme between The University of Sheffield and our partner universities.
Can I apply?
The programme is open to all disciplines except: Dentistry, Medicine, Journalism, Law, Nursing and Psychology.
The Law department have their own exchanges. More Information
All applications must be discussed with a Study Abroad Adviser in your own department.

How does it work?
The Study Abroad programme forms an integral part of your existing degree studies. You will spend your second (or in some cases third) year overseas.
When you apply you choose up to six universities in order of preference. You'll then be allocated to one of your choices if you are accepted on to the programme.
The work and exams you do, and the grades you achieve, will transfer back and form part of your University of Sheffield degree.
If you are interested in the programme you should speak to your Study Abroad adviser at the start of your first year, as applications have to be in by December.
