External Scholarships & Awards

There are some external scholarships and awards available for people taking part on an exchange programme.

You must have a place on the Study Abroad Programme at Sheffield in order to apply for any of these scholarships

The BUTEX Scholarship - USA & Canada

BUTEX (British Transatlantic Exchange Association) is pleased to offer eight £500 scholarships.

To be eligible to apply you must have been offered a place as a study abroad or exchange student in a US or Canadian university for the academic year.

You need to complete the application form plus one of the two options - A poster promoting study abroad or answer the following question: "Five Things I Wouldn´t Study Abroad Without" - see website for details

The DUO-Singapore Exchange Fellowship Award - National University of Singapore

The Award is based on merit and a student will be awarded a maximum of 4,000 Euros which covers airfare, accommodation and living expenses.

The Scholarships for Excellence Scheme - Hong Kong

Around ten scholarships will be provided, worth up to £4,000 each.

These scholarships are offered to exchange students from higher education institutions in England who have been selected to undertake a period of study in Hong Kong.
