About the University of Sheffield Women's Club

Women's Club

Our club is a thriving organisation with a long history* and around 100 members. Membership is open to women who are present and past members of the University, graduate students and alumni, and to women who are their partners.  Associate membership is open to women with a particular connection with, or interest in, the University.

For new arrivals to the University, we provide a fund of information about life in and around Sheffield, and an ideal opportunity to make new friends. For women who find they have time for new activities we provide a friendly and stimulating environment. (Join Us)

We organise a varied annual programme which we hope reflects the interests of our members and twice during the academic year we publish Newsletters.  If you would like to sample a meeting before committing yourself, do contact us and come as our guest.

A Committee is elected from among the members annually.

*Founded, we think, in 1937 as the Ladies' Tea Club.
