University accommodation is not just for undergraduates. Here at Sheffield, a diverse range of students live in our accommodation, including postgraduates, mature students, returners and families.
When compared with private providers, University accommodation offers excellent value for money.

There´s accommodation reserved for postgraduates in both in The Ranmoor Village, The Endcliffe Village and City and Central Campus. If you´d prefer to live with undergraduates, that can be arranged too. In the city, the accommodation is mainly flats and apartments. At Ranmoor there are contemporary en-suite apartments or self-contained studios which have their own kitchen and bathroom and are ideally suited to postgraduates. |

Village living: the best of both worlds
The Ranmoor Village is the perfect location for postgraduates. It´s close enough to campus to be within easy walking distance, yet is set in a leafy parkland environment. The vibrant areas of Broomhill and Ecclesall Road are close by, and all the facilities and services you need are on site if you want them. These include a popular café bar serving great value food throughout the day and a Customer Services reception.
Ranmoor has been designed to suit students wanting to focus on their studies. So, whilst there are plenty of opportunities to meet new, like minded people, the emphasis isn´t on partying the night away. There are events and activities designed just for postgraduates, which are a great way to meet people – especially if you´re new to the city or just want to widen your circle of friends.
If you do prefer a livlier experience, The Endcliffe Village has a vibrant social scene and is also available to postgraduates.
City and Central Campus
If you enjoy busy city centre living, then this may be the choice for you. It can be a bit noisier than our other locations, but there are lots of shops, bars and cafés nearby to help make up for that. Some of the accommodation is close to the Management School and the Faculty of Engineering buildings, so is ideal if you´re studying there.
Trust your landlord
In University accommodation, there´s a dedicated team of maintenance staff who endeavour to fix problems as soon as possible and a security team who offer 24hr support, with CCTV and regular patrols around the accommodation for total peace of mind.
Postgrad events and activities
As well as all the other benefits of living in University accommodation, there are a wide range of events and activities that are organised in the residences for postgraduates. These can be a great way to meet new people, try new things and settle into life in Sheffield. From postgrad social events, regular 'Coffee and Cake' meetings, film nights and quizzes, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved if you want to.
