Julian Payne Postgraduate Tuition Scholarships 2012-2013
£3,000 each
We are pleased to announce four tuition scholarships of £3,000 for entering MA, MMus and MPhil/PhD students at the Department of Music, University of Sheffield in 2012-2013.
These scholarships have been generously funded by Anthony and Shirley Payne in memory of their son, Julian, who studied music at Sheffield. (One of the four awards will be reserved for a University of Sheffield undergraduate student who graduated in 2010 or 2011, or who will graduate in 2012.)
All entering on-site students (full time, part time, UK/EU, overseas) are eligible to apply; successful part-time students will receive their £3,000 scholarship over two years of study. Scholarships are not renewable beyond the end of academic year 2012-2013.
In order to be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have applied to study for an MA, MMus or MPhil/PhD at the Department of Music by Friday 27 April, 5pm. In addition they must write to the Director of Graduate Studies in Music, Dr George Nicholson (g.nicholson@sheffield.ac.uk) by Friday 27April to indicate their wish to be considered for a scholarship.
