Guarantee and Non-guarantee students

To fulfill the requirements of our accommodation guarantee, you must have applied to UCAS, made The University of Sheffield your first/firm choice and accepted an offer of an academic place on a full-time course by July 6th. You must hold an unconditional offer and be coming alone to Sheffield for the full academic year. Finally, you must also have applied to University accommodation by 31st August.

To be a guaranteed student you must meet all of the requirements mentioned above. 

Non guarantee students are those who did not fulfil all the above requirements or are students coming through clearing, adjustment or insurance choices.

If you do not meet the terms of our guarantee, don't worry, we will still try our best to help you find somewhere to live. For more information about our accommodation guarantee, please click here. 

We would advise that University Accommodation is fully booked. You can still apply for accommodation for the academic year 2013-14, as a limited number of places may become available if there are cancellations. Alternatively, we can advise you of options in the Private Sector and support you in finding suitable accommodation through propertywithUS.

Halifax Hall - from steel baron’s mansion to boutique hotel

We are excited to announce the official opening of Halifax Hall Hotel! This Victorian mansion has been converted into a 38 bedroom luxury hotel.

Hopefully celebrating the results you were hoping for, your parents will no doubt be making plans on the run up to Intro Weekend to help you to get set up for a new student life in Sheffield. Halifax Hall is located next to the University‘s The Endcliffe Village, only 5 minutes walk away from The Ranmoor Village, and so perfectly placed for parents to stop over for a few nights while you to settle in.

The Hotel sits in the middle of a conservation area and boasts a restaurant as well as a range of offerings for guests including Deluxe Twin or Single rooms and luxury Suites. Services also include complimentary car parking, Wi-Fi and 24 hour check-in and check-out.
