Alumni
Welcome back to the University of Sheffield’s School of English Alumni page. We like to maintain strong links with our former students, staff, parents and friends.
This website is meant as a service that helps you to stay in touch with your friends, with us and with events at the School. You will find information on news from us on the School’s Twitter and Facebook pages as well as on the School’s research pages.
We are delighted that you are staying in touch with us, whether you graduated only recently or whether you graduated some time ago, whether you still live in Sheffield or whether your work and family have taken you to other exciting places around the world, whether you studied English Literature, Theatre and Drama or Language and Linguistics.
Sheffield’s School of English graduates are already making a significant contribution to the School’s standing, for example by contributing to prizes that the School awards to its very best students. If you are interested in making a contribution, please contact the alumni officer, Dr Carmen Szabo or the Head of School, Professor Susan Fitzmaurice.
Keep in touch
You can keep in touch with the School and the University by joining Sheffield Reunited, run by the Development & Alumni Relations Office. This will allow you to keep in touch with your friends from the School and the rest of the University, and will allow us to send you occasional electronic newsletters. The University will also be able to invite you to special events.
Tell us your news
We are always interested to hear what our alumni have been getting up to. If you have an interesting story, why not tell us and we will post it as a news item. We are looking for articles 250-300 words long, ideally with a photograph.
Send your contributions to: c.szabo@sheffield.ac.uk
In order to update your contact details, please e-mail the University’s Alumni Office at alumni@sheffield.ac.uk.
