The RIBA Rising Stars list recognises outstanding early career professionals, those who have completed their professional qualification within the last 10 years. The list of this year’s rising stars shows a mix of experience and skills, and we’re thrilled that two of these outstanding professionals are associated with the Sheffield School of Architecture.
Farhana Jiwa studied her Part 2 qualification at here Sheffield, and is now an Architect at JTP, where she champions social value initiatives and works to encourage young people into architectural education. Charlie Palmer also studied his Part 2 qualification here at Sheffield. He has worked across humanitarian issues and participatory design and founded Incremental Urbanism. Jo Sharples is a studio tutor at the Sheffield School of Architecture, she also co-founded Editional Studio and works on making people’s homes more sustainable. A RIBA-funded research project “Decarbonise your House Now!” and gaining the Passive House accreditation all exemplify Jo’s dedication to sustainability.
