Do you work in cancer research at the University of Sheffield? Or, are you a University of Sheffield researcher and interested in moving into this area?

Yorkshire Cancer Research (YCR) has ringfenced funding for cancer research that is led by University of Sheffield applicants, following the success of cancer drug Lynparza discovered at the university with funding from the charity. This funding has the potential to transform cancer research at Sheffield and is divided into two schemes: "YCR Sheffield Pioneers" and "YCR More Life to Live". This information session will be focussed on the larger of these schemes: the 2024 YCR Sheffield Pioneers scheme. (The YCR More Life to Live 2024 round will be announced separately.)

Hear early information about award types, timings and the outline internal review process ahead of the formal launch of the 2024 scheme of Yorkshire Cancer Research Sheffield Pioneers fund later in the year.
