Profile

I hold a Master of Information Technology from the University of Pretoria, South Africa; the research focused on assessing access and use of PERii electronic journal resources at the University of Dar es Salaam: the case of postgraduates in the School of Education. Also, I hold a Master of Arts in Information Studies from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; the research focused on the role of mobile phones in facilitating communication for socio-economic development among the pastoralists: A case of Maasai in Monduli district, Tanzania. I worked as a Library officer at the University of Dar es Salaam Library and then as a lecturer at the Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania.

I am a currently undertaking my PhD research study in the Information School at the University of Sheffield.

PhD project

Title: "Agricultural research data sharing practice for agricultural development in Morogoro region, Tanzania"

My research is focusing on agricultural research data sharing where my interest is to examine the potential impact of research data sharing on development of agriculture, and the issue will be looked from the perspective of farmers and researchers in Morogoro region, Tanzania.
