Description

September kickstarts a monthly online seminar from the Centre for Freedom of the Media, featuring speakers from journalism practice, civil society and academia discussing topics related to media freedom from around the world.

On Thursday 28 September, Gill Phillips, legal consultant and editor of McNae's Essential Law for Journalists, will discuss current threats to journalists at CFOM's online seminar series.

The following week will see Jessica White, Senior Research Analyst at Freedom House, discuss Freedom House's recent report Reviving News Media in an Embattled Europe. Diana Maynard, Senior Research Fellow, will discuss the development of a dashboard to monitor and understand the abuse journalists face on 23 November.

We are very excited to share these online events with you, which will provide the opportunity to ask questions as well as hear from a broad range of journalists and researchers.
