All-Steinway School Accreditation
In 2020, The Department of Music were delighted to share that the University of Sheffield was to become an All-Steinway School in March 2021.
Department scores highly in National Student Survey
The Department of Music was delighted to receive the 2020 NSS results, raking the department as 2nd in the Russell Group for teaching on our course
Decolonising the curriculum: In Conversation
In September 2020 the Faculty of Arts and Humanities published a new online magazine 'Decolonising the Curriculum: In Conversation'. The magazine explores perspectives on decolonisation from across the Faculty and includes a feature from Dr Andrew Killick on approaching the module Music of the World.

Mozart, epidemics and hope
Musicology Professor Simon Keefe reflects on the effect plagues had on Mozart as part of Cambridge University Press' new series "Cambridge Reflections: Covid-19''. The research links to his new findings from his book ‘Mozart in Vienna: The Final Decade'.
