On Thursday 23 June 2022, the OMDS Research Centre was delighted to host Professor Reza Farahani Zanjirani for an online guest research seminar. Professor Farahani currently works at Rennes Business School, France, within the Supply Chain Management and Information Systems department. He is also a senior editor at the Production & Operations Management Journal (POMJ).

The online seminar focused on Farahani’s most recent research exploring the circular economy and charities’ role in fast fashion. The research highlighted the need for innovative business models to help fast fashion firms and charities collaborate to solve environmental issues and to support charities to improve their traditional practices for increased competitiveness. The event concluded with a lively discussion around research perspectives on the circular economy.

The event was well attended by OMDS members including doctoral researchers, early career researchers and academic staff.
