Masters Courses

The School of Languages and Cultures is at the forefront of national and international research in modern languages across a range of disciplines and periods, historical and contemporary.

In the most recent Research Assessment Exercise (REF 2014), our departments had up to 70% of their research rated as internationally excellent or world-leading.

With our Research Clusters (Visual Culture, Film and Performance, Gender Studies, Linguistics, Intellectual History, and Migration, Culture and Communities, Literary Studies and Cultural History), we encompass a wide range of areas of specialisation. We also offer many cross-disciplinary opportunities within the School.
