Profile

Christie joined the SMI in 2021, after graduating with a BA in Geography from the University of Liverpool. She is currently completing a MSc in Data Analytics and Society and a PhD in unpaid adult social care, as part of the Data CDT programme.

Research interests

Christie's main areas of interest are the employment patterns of unpaid carers, the impact of intersectionality on social experiences, and quantitative methods. She is currently working with the Office for National Statistics Longitudinal Study dataset to analyse the influence the provision of unpaid care has on paid employment across different Local Authorities in England and Wales.
