Profile

Macole joined the SMI in 2022, his area of focus is Race, education and psychology. Using a Decolonial approach in his research, he aims to bridge the gap between education and those who are minoritised in society.He describes himself as a scholar activist who uses education as a tool to empower those around him. From Sheffield, he is involved in much community work and outreach initiatives for his community.

Qualifications

Macole studied his Masters at the University of Sheffield in Psychology and Education. He was awarded with the 2022 Postgraduate prize and also the Department of Education Dissertation prize.

Research interests

Researching into how the UK education system impacts the well-being of Black students.
