Mr Adrian Hirst

Adrian joined the AMRC as a System Engineer in 2010 after graduating with a Masters from the University of Sheffield in Control and Systems Engineering. He has worked on a range of projects since then, involving robotics, controls systems and metrology. The majority of this work has been within high-value aerospace sector, with work now implemented on the production line for Tier-1 producers such as BAE Systems (inc. Chairman’s Silver Award for work on F-35 Countersinking), Airbus and Spirit AeroSystems; however he has also worked on projects in the construction and automotive sectors, and with a range of SMEs in various manufacturing sectors.

Adrian has deep experience during his time at the AMRC with a range of robotic systems and controls/fieldbus networks. Currently he is working on delivering technical work into Airbus UK, as well as assisting in the technical growth of the Integrated Manufacturing Group overall.
