COVID-19

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, summer opportunities in 2022 may be subject to change or cancellation at short notice. Whilst we are anticipating that overseas travel will be permitted by summer 2022, partner universities are still reviewing their summer school plans for 2022. Some summer schools may be offered as a virtual experience only or may be cancelled altogether. Students should keep this in mind and take a flexible approach when considering their options.

    Scholarships

Scholarships for summer summers in 2022 are currently being reviewed. This webpage will be updated with further details when they are available.

Scholarships are normally allocated to students who have completed application for Global Opportunities & Exchanges.

Scholarship applications for 2022 are not currently open. This webpage will be updated when they are available.

When applying for the scholarship, you should indicate which summer school you are planning to apply for. Unless you are relying on a fee waiver to be able to afford the experience, then you should select one partner only. If you are relying on a fee waiver to be able to afford the experience you may list a second option in your application. Details of which summer schools offer fee waivers are provided below.

      What happens next?

We will announce the outcomes of the scholarship applications within a month of each deadline.

Being awarded a scholarship does not guarantee you a place at the summer school of your choice as you will still need to apply to the partner university. This application should be made directly with the partner university.

If you are unsuccessful in being awarded a scholarship you can still apply for a place at a partner summer school. If you did not apply for a scholarship but want to apply for a partner summer school you can still do so.

      Destinations for summer 2022

Partner websites may still show information for summer 2021, and we anticipate details for summer 2022 will be published in December/January. The application process and deadlines vary by summer school so you should check the partner university website carefully, especially if you have been awarded a scholarship from Global Opportunities & Exchanges.
