The Electrical Machines and Drives Group at the University of Sheffield has a strong track record for innovation and for promoting commercial exploitation.

The group collaborates with industry world-wide, and has extensive computational and simulation tools and experimental facilities for analysis, design, prototyping and testing.

The University has significant expertise in modelling, designing and testing electrical machines and power electronics systems for safety critical applications.

Dynex Semiconductor

Dynex Semiconductor Ltd has a rich history in the design, development and production of High Power Semiconductor modules and Power Assemblies.

Throughout the years, Dynex products have been applied in projects that vary from transportation, power grid, renewables, industrial, equipment and specialist applications for customers in Europe, US and the rapidly growing Far Eastern markets.

The Power Semiconductor and Power Assemblies operation is located in Lincoln, England, manufacturing a range of high power IGBT modules, Bipolar capsule devices and power assemblies.
