Sheffield University Management School is renowned with a good ranking

My four years of work experience in the semiconductor industry led me to seek knowledge in systems management. I felt a career bottleneck and desired to explore something different for my future. I had not been to the UK before, but I had always wanted to explore and experience the culture here, so decided to look at masters courses in the UK. Before coming to Sheffield, I researched and found that Sheffield University Management School is renowned with a good ranking. The courses I wanted to study have a strong reputation. I believe this course will be beneficial for my future career.

I excelled in group work, earning high marks

One concern I had before starting my studies was the pressure from module assignments. I managed these concerns by breaking down assignments for effective time management. I excelled in information systems modelling during group work, earning high marks. My contributions and ideas were well-received by my group members.

The modules, especially information systems modelling, enhanced my critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Learning Python has also been valuable, and these practical skills will be beneficial in my future career.

I adapted to life in the UK, embracing the culture shock

I adapted quickly, embracing the culture shock. I made international friends and enjoy having coffee chats with them. Language exchange is the most fun part for me. Bamford Edge is one of my favourite places to visit. It's perfect for hiking, and the view is spectacular.

Looking towards the future

After four years of work experience in China, I hope to secure a job in the UK. I look forward to experiencing a different work environment in the UK.

My advice for future students

Don't worry about the practicality of the modules; this course offers practical and useful content that you won't regret choosing.
