PhD student wins Engineering Research Symposium Poster of the Year

Second year PhD student Mohammed Shbeh awarded Poster of the Year at the Engineering Researcher Symposium (ERS) 2016.

Held on Wednesday 15th June, and sponsored by the Engineering Researcher Society, the ERS brings together researchers, engineers and scientists from across the University to showcase, and celebrate, the latest world leading engineering research being undertaken.

Mohammed competed against researchers from across the Faculty to win the prestigious Poster of the Year award. Pro-Vice Chancellor of Engineering, Professor Mike Hounslow presented the award; a crystal glass trophy, certificate and £150 prize.

It was such a wonderful feeling to represent the Department at such as amazing event and return with the first prize. I really want to thank my supervisors and the Iraqi Attaché for sponsoring me to study in this great department, day after day my love increases for being here and contributing to the scientific community.
