The Turner Memorial Lecture

'The Genius of British Glass Artists, 1875-1939' presented by Dr Charles Hadjamach

To mark the founding of the world's first Department of Glass Technology, the Department is delighted to announce that Dr Charles Hajdamach will present at this year's Turner Memorial Lecture.

The Turner Memorial Lecture is an endowed talk presented periodically in memory of Professor W E S Turner who created, here in Sheffield, the world's first Department of Glass Technology. 2015 marks the centenary of that event, and to celebrate, the Department and the Society of Glass Technology, are delighted to announce that international speaker, Dr Charles Hajdamach will present.

The event, open to the general public, will be held at 6.30 pm on Thursday 12 November in Lecture Theatre 1 of the newly opened Diamond Building, Sheffield. Guests are invited to attend a reception from 4pm to 5.30pm in the Turner Museum of Glass where tea and coffee will be served.
