The Sheffield Tribology research group and supporting staff are planning to walk, jog or run the Sheffield 10k on the 25th September 2022 to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Their former colleague and fellow Sheffield tribologist, Dr Marcello Cadeddu, passed away suddenly due to a congenital heart defect in 2018 and so the group having been challenging themselves in different ways to raise as much money as possible in his memory. They have previously completed the 9 Edges Walk, a 30km walk in the Peak District, so they're no strangers to challenges and the Sheffield 10k is their latest endeavour to fundraise for this very worthy cause.
