Advancing Child Health Technologies: Infrastructure, Innovation, and Practical Applications

The integration of health technologies in paediatric care has the potential to revolutionise diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of conditions affecting children. However, translating innovation into practice requires a robust infrastructure that supports development, evaluation, sustainable implementation, and equitable access.
This talk explores the development of paediatric medical devices, digital health solutions, and AI-assisted diagnostics. A multidisciplinary approach combining clinical expertise, engineering, data science, and patient-centred design is crucial to ensure these innovations meet paediatric-specific needs. Advancing child health technologies requires a proactive framework that balances technological potential with clinical and ethical priorities to deliver safe, effective, and sustainable solutions.
