I joined the Department in October 2020.

Research interests

Research interests:

  • Journalism studies based on text-mining;
  • Digital humanities related to social media;
  • Digital health.

Thesis title: 'Communication Strategies of Governments in Public Health Emergencies: A case study of governmental roles against COVID-19 in mainstream media reporting in China and United Kingdom'.

My thesis is exploring communication strategies of governments to minimize national loss in public health emergencies. Specifically, the research will be conducted in the context of Covid-19 with platform base in Twitter (UK) and Weibo (China).
