Profile: I am an architect qualified in Chile and an academic in architectural theory and design, relating to the fields of landscape and urbanism. I have further interests and transferable skills in the related fields of cultural heritage, post-disaster recovery and advanced recording technologies. After completing my PhD at the Bartlett School of Architecture I developed postdoctoral research at the UCL Urban Laboratory, which finalised with the solo exhibition “Documents of Urban Change: experiences of absence in Burgess Park and the Aylesbury Estate, South London” in October 2019.

Research interests: My research relates Architectural Humanities and Design Research in Architecture and Art to understand and represent discourses and experiences of absence in cities and landscapes, and their multi-layered formation. Further areas of interest and expertise are the perception and memory of places, cultural and natural heritage, environmental humanities, and advanced recording technologies.
