I am an architect qualified in Chile and an academic in architectural theory and design, relating to the fields of landscape and urbanism. I have further interests and transferable skills in the related fields of cultural heritage, post-disaster recovery and advanced recording technologies. After completing my PhD at the Bartlett School of Architecture I developed postdoctoral research at the UCL Urban Laboratory, which finalised with the solo exhibition “Documents of Urban Change: experiences of absence in Burgess Park and the Aylesbury Estate, South London” in October 2019.

My research relates Architectural Humanities and Design Research in Architecture and Art to understand and represent discourses and experiences of absence in cities and landscapes, and their multi-layered formation. Further areas of interest and expertise are the perception and memory of places, cultural and natural heritage, environmental humanities, and advanced recording technologies.
