Wajdi earned a bachelor's degree from Saudi Arabia's College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture at Umm al-Qura University (UQU),in (2006). During the bachelor's degree .Wajdi worked at first as a trained for conducting Survey works regarding a historical building in Al-Taif “AL-SULAIMANI PALACE”. After graduation, he pursued practical experience as an architect at Municipality of Makkah, Worked at the department of Licenses under job title “ Technical Supervisor” . Moreover, Wajdi had the chance to work as a teacher assistant at the department of architectural engineering, Faculty of Engineering within AL-BAHA University (BU) Campus.
Wajdi received a scholarship to complete his education from his department of architectural engineering. He travelled to Australia at Sydney to launch an extensive study of an academic English language and skills courses at TAFE College then Master degree at University of Technology Sydney (UTS). he participated with a project in the Beams Arts Festival, Chippendale at Sydney. Wajdi graduated with MArch master of architecture in (2016).
After earning his master's degree, Wajdi served as a teaching assistant for two years and he joined the University of Sheffield in 2019 as a PhD researcher to work on conservation and restoration of historical buildings. his goal is to become an architect conservator of heritage and historical site in the academic field.

A new strategy of Digital Documentation Approach for Conservation: A Case Study of Al-‘Ula.Project outline:
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia possesses a rich heritage of early civilizations and stands at the crossroads between past and the future. Unfortunately, the Kingdom is still in danger of losing its heritage, which is of exceptional importance for Arab culture and the world, in its attempt to modernize economically. The preservation of Saudi Arabia's heritage is mainly based on the World Heritage System (WHS), where it seeks to preserve historical sites of special relevance, but the agreement is relatively powerless without local support. Due to its unique importance for national and international communities, heritage needs to be protected. There is a notable lack of education, experience, trained specialists, and execution of appropriate intervention methods, as indicated by the massive potential for development regarding heritage in historic districts. In this investigation, the study begins with studying selected of several buildings in the Al-‘Ula region that should be proceeded via mixed methods of digital technique on recording historical heritage, ethnography and qualitative document analysis.
The main aim is to examine a new documentation strategy technique for Al-'Ula Heritage Village conservation. The research offers an opportunity for the researcher to investigate an aspect of architecture heritage and historical site that he interested in and would like to explore in more depth. The special study will involve initial research and contribute through reasoning and critical thinking to the subject area (Al-‘Ula). It will provide me with an opportunity to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of a specific aspect of architectural heritage and the building conservation environment. The research is geared towards investigating the conservation practice of cultural heritage and identity of the historic area. Hence, it will focus only on studying the type of building that need preservations significances in Al-‘Ula valley and to determine the factors influencing AlUla site preservation processes to decide whether a relationship exists between site conservation and tourism.
