Sheffield ranked among top ten for Chemical Engineering - Times Good University Guide 2024

The University of Sheffield has been ranked in the top ten of UK universities for Chemical Engineering in this latest league table result.

Chemical Engineering at the University of Sheffield has been placed in the top ten in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024.

The joint eighth place ranking reflects the high quality teaching and exceptional whole university experience students receive at Sheffield when studying Chemical Engineering.

The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024 provides the definitive rankings for UK universities and the most comprehensive overview of higher education in Britain. The guide enables prospective students to make an informed choice about their higher education. 

Students recently ranked Chemical Engineering at the University of Sheffield third in the Russell Group for ‘student voice’ in the 2023 National Student Survey (NSS).

Chemical Engineering at Sheffield has came in top of the Russell Group for assessment and feedback, as well as top three for learning opportunities.

Speaking on the NSS results, Head of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Professor Joan Cordiner, said: “This fantastic result is testament to the incredible efforts of our staff and students. We’re very proud of our exceptional teaching and the highly-skilled chemical engineers we produce.”
