Join this interactive workshop, the first in a series co-delivered by the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University’s Enterprise teams.
We are inviting our two communities of entrepreneurial students to come together to meet, learn and hear why building a network is so important as you start out on your business journey!
The first session will equip you with the essential skills and confidence to connect authentically, build valuable, lasting relationships, and leverage your network for success. At this session you can expect to learn:
- Networking strategies for early stage business progression
- The secrets to making a lasting first impression
- Effective conversation starters and active listening techniques
- Strategies for utilising online platforms and offline events for maximum impact
- How to build genuine connections with your network and turn acquaintances into business partners.
Scott Gladwood (Speaker)
Scott is a results-driven startup founder and advisor, with a passion for supporting fast-growing tech-empowered businesses. As founder of Tutorful - the UK's leading tuition marketplace he grew the business to offer both in-person and online sessions to learners of every level, in every subject. His amazing community of tutors grew to over 10,000.
Scott is also the Founder of The Sheffield Reading Project, a community-based initiative designed at enhancing reading levels and children's engagement with books, focusing on those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Scott was a member of our Emerge team, leading the development of the new brand over the last year. He is passionate about supporting those with strong values that want to develop scalable solutions.
