iHuman in Amsterdam: The Art of Belonging

iHuman research in critical disability studies was the focus of a keynote lecture delivered at the 3rd Annual Disability Studies Conference in the Netherlands: The Art of Belonging.

Katherine Runswick-Cole‘s keynote “Chronicles of Belonging: stories of ‘autism’ and ‘inclusion’ presented research from a digital story-telling project with colleagues in Toronto Enacting Autism Inclusion.  Katherine spoke about digital story-telling as a powerful tool for disrupting traditional stories of deficit and lack and to focus on new ways of understanding belonging.  For more information about the project and to view the digital stories visit the Enacting Autism Inclusion website.
