Profile

Rebecca has more than 20 years' experience as a broadcast journalist at the BBC.
She began her career at BBC Wales, working with newsgathering, radio and television, before moving to London to produce BBC Three's 60seconds News bulletins, and with the digital video team.

The bulk of her career with the BBC was with the BBC News at Six and Ten, working as a producer on some of the biggest stories of the past ten years - including elections, Brexit, terror attacks, foreign conflicts and the Covid pandemic. She has edited bulletins on BBC One and produced stories such as the migrant crisis and the US elections in the field with leading correspondents and presenters.

Since leaving the BBC, Rebecca has worked as a freelance producer for BBC Breakfast, an Associate Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, and as a media and communications advisor for the South Yorkshire Metro Mayor.

She joined the University of Sheffield in September 2023, and will be teaching modules in television and radio journalism and communications.
