International
We are dedicated to supporting incoming international students and offer a range of opportunities for students seeking to gain international experience.

Erasmus
The Department of Landscape Architecture has established exchange programmes with several European landscape schools. Students studying at Sheffield are able to participate in an Erasmus exchange and complete part of their programme of study at one of the following institutions.
- NMBU Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Ås, Norway
- SLU Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Alnarp, Sweden
- HSWT Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, Freising, Germany
- WUR Wageningen University, Wageningen, Netherlands
The department has also established an exchange agreement with:
Students from these institutions also come to study at Sheffield which adds to the multicultural dimension of the department and is an opportunity to explore different cultural approaches to landscape design.
Global Opportunities
The University also has arrangements with global partner universities in Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, South Korea and USA.
Landscape Architecture undergraduates can go abroad for one semester; the first semester of the third or fifth year. Find the full list of partner universities on the global opportunities pages below.

Student experiences
I enjoyed living and working with people from all around the world. It was great to visit other landscapes and gain planting design inspiration for the future. I would advise someone considering Erasmus or study abroad to jump at the opportunity, because they may never get that chance again.
