Profile

I am a practising landscape architect combining my consultancy work with community engagement and hands-on creation of naturalistic projects. I have tutored in the Landscape department since 2018.  Becoming self-employed after 20 years in multidisciplinary private practice enables me to work more flexibly on my own landscape consultancy work alongside developing community  projects.  Developing a specific interest in small scale, nature and biodiversity focussed projects allows me a very people-centric approach to positively changing and enjoying the landscapes that influence our everyday lives. My experience of building active, enduring community engagement throughout project lifetimes, guides the teaching and support I offer to our wonderfully diverse communities of students and staff. An active Member of the Landscape Institute, I support the professional development of the students and value the opportunities for my own constant learning and continuing professional development.
