David Liggins, Sheffield alumnus, has been appointed as one of the two new Joint Editors of Analysis.

Analysis is the most established and esteemed forum in which to publish short discussions of topics in philosophy; it maintains a distinctive, concise style and covers a wide range of topics. It was established in 1933 and has had only 8 editors since then.

David Liggins got his PhD - "Nominalist Accounts of Mathematics" - from Sheffield in 2005 and is now Senior Lecturer at Manchester University. He will edit Analysis with Chris Daly (also from Manchester).

2016 is a good year for Sheffield Alumni and top Philosophy journals, with the publication of the first issue of Mind under the editorship of Lucy O'Brien (Sheffield alumna) and Adrian Moore.
