New students commencing studies between October and August
If you are due to commence study at the University of Sheffield between now and the end of August 2019 you will be sent information about the registration arrangements which apply to you with details of the steps you can undertake before you arrive at the University. If you have not received information about registration then you should register in person with the Student Administration Service, Level 6, Students' Union before the start of your course.
Postgraduate Research Students Only If you wish to amend the start date of your studies, please contact your department before registering. Start dates cannot be amended once you are registered with the University.
Passport and Visa Requirements for International (Non EEA) Students
International students MUST register in person and must bring their passport and visa with them. The University will retain copies of these documents to satisfy UKVI (United Kingdom Visa and Immigration) requirements. International students who do not have their passport and visa will not be permitted to register. The study visa must show The University of Sheffield reference number and students whose visa does not show this will not be permitted to register with this University.
Please bring your original qualifications documents (certificates/transcripts, with official translations where necessary) to the Applicant Information Desk, Level 2, Arts Tower for verification by the Admissions Service as soon as you can after registration.
