Profile

I am a University Teacher in the MA programmes in Translation and Intercultural Communication Studies, specialising in Translation Technologies, Localisation and Project Management.

I studied a BA (Hons) in Translation and Interpreting at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona where I also completed an MA in Translation Technologies. I am also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Before joining academia, I worked in the translation industry as a freelance translator and localiser for over 10 years.

Before coming to Sheffield, I taught modules on Translation Technologies and Catalan Language and Culture at University College Cork (Ireland). I joined the University of Sheffield in 2014, where I coordinate and teach on a variety of modules on translation technologies, localisation, project management and subtitling practice, as well as contributing to other postgraduate modules on Translation and Intercultural Communication.
